here are some well-known toy retailers that have closed some or all of their stores in recent years:

  1. Toys “R” Us: One of the largest toy retailers in the world, Toys “R” Us filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and closed all of its U.S. stores. However, a new company has since re-opened some of the stores under the Toys “R” Us name.
  2. KB Toys: A chain of toy stores that was popular in the United States, KB Toys filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and eventually closed all of its stores.
  3. FAO Schwarz: A luxury toy retailer with a history dating back to 1862, FAO Schwarz closed its flagship store in New York City in 2015, but has since re-opened in a smaller location.
  4. Brookstone: A retailer of high-end gadgets, gifts, and toys, Brookstone filed for bankruptcy in 2014 and closed all of its mall-based stores. The company continues to operate a smaller number of stores and an online store.
  5. RadioShack: A retailer of electronics, including toys, RadioShack filed for bankruptcy in 2015 and closed over 1,000 of its stores, although some remain open today.

These are just a few examples of the many toy stores that have closed in the last 10 years, but there have likely been many more closures in smaller, regional, or niche toy retailers.
