What are the Rarest Pokemon Cards ?
The rarest Pokemon cards are typically considered to be those that are the most difficult to find or the most valuable. Some examples of rare Pokemon cards include:
- The “Pikachu Illustrator” card, which is considered the rarest and most valuable Pokemon card in existence. Only six of these cards are known to exist.
- The “Prerelease Raichu” card, which was given to winners of a Pokemon tournament in the U.S. before the release of the base set.
- The “No. 1 Trainer” card, which was given to winners of the Japanese Pokemon Card Game Official Tournament in 1998. Only 10 of these cards are known to exist.
- The “Trophy Pikachu” card, which was given to winners of the CoroCoro Comic Illustration Contest in Japan.
- The “Mewtwo Illustrator” card, which was given to winners of a Pokemon illustration contest in Japan.
- The “Promo Black Star” cards which were given away as part of promotions in the 90s and early 2000s
It’s worth noting that the value and rarity of a card can also be affected by its condition and edition.
